Resonance Field Presentation

On a warm June day, we gathered in Welna once more to celebrate the presentation of Thinking Forest’s second commission and new permanent work, Resonance Field, by Germaine Kruip.
The work consists of a set of tuned bronze bells that are worn by the herd of sheep grazing at Welna, led by shepherd Arie. The lengthy process of creating this work, in collaboration with this herd, has consisted of many conversations and site visits between Germaine, Arie, and the Thinking Forest team.
It was a fantastic to share the final work with a group of visitors and to have it contextualized by a reading from Constance Chester, whose words on Resonance Field you can find here.

Marking the second edition of the Thinking Forest annual art commission, the sound piece will live on in the forest, offering an immersive experience to anyone who tracks down the roaming herd.
During the event, Maison Dante provided some much-needed snacks and refreshments on the sweltering day.

Momentary Constellation
